Grammatik der Lücken

15 November 2026 – 11 April 2027 / Kunsthalle

Gabriela Löffel’s video works explore how political and economic power operates through language, spaces and infrastructures. The exhibition invites visitors to experience how realities are staged, mediated and interpreted from different perspectives.

Gabriela Löffel’s (*1972) solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle explores how political and economic power operates through language, space and infrastructures. Her video works are grounded in long-term research at sites that are often diffificult to access, including military training grounds, international fifinancial congresses, fifilm studios, courtrooms and spaces of negotiation. Rather than seeking immediate disclosure, Löffel is interested in how realities are produced and mediated: Who speaks? What remains audible or invisible? What role do mise-en-scène, translation and architecture play? Voices, pauses and interference noise become just as important as the images. The resulting multilayered installations make complex relationships perceptible from multiple perspectives.
