What happens when Antonín Dvořák’s famous “Dumky Trio” and Bohuslav Martinů’s absurdly ironic ballet music “Revue de Cuisine” meet surreal and witty texts written especially for these works by the Scottish poet Ron Butlin? For its 25th anniversary, the Swiss piano trio together with actor Graham F. Valentine and musical friends on clarinet, bassoon and trumpet will be creating a recipe in which text and music about the amorous entanglements of pot, lid, whisk, scourer and broom will be merged into a ludicrous whole – followed by an aperitif riche to celebrate the anniversary.
